Privacy Policy

RECLIO records your screen and lets you polish the result: trimming clips, styling the canvas, adding zoom, and exporting. Recording and editing happen entirely on your Mac; recording content is never uploaded to LITCORE. RECLIO is free to record and export with; optional one-time Personal and Team licenses unlock canvas backgrounds, the zoom track, and cursor effects.

• Screen Recording (required): captures the screen, window, or region you select. Without it, RECLIO has nothing to record.
• Accessibility (required): lets RECLIO detect cursor position and clicks, used only to draw the optional click and cursor-highlight effects as you record.
• Microphone (optional): accessed only for a given recording if you turn on microphone audio for it.
• Camera (optional): accessed only for a given recording if you turn on the webcam overlay for it.

Each is a standard macOS permission you grant directly to RECLIO in System Settings. RECLIO cannot use any of them without your say-so, and macOS lets you revoke any of them at any time.

• Recordings save as video files to a folder you choose (your Desktop, by default). They are never uploaded.
• Edit state for each recording (trim points, canvas style, zoom) is saved locally as a small project file under ~/Library/Application Support/, so an in-progress edit survives an app or Mac restart.
• App preferences, recording quality, which effects are on, your chosen save folder, are stored locally using standard macOS app preferences.
• License status and trial start date are stored locally in the macOS Keychain, the same encrypted storage macOS uses for your passwords.

RECLIO doesn't use your recordings, edits, or files to train AI models: it can't, because it never sends them anywhere to begin with.

RECLIO does not require an account. We may process limited information necessary to operate it:

• An anonymous user ID the app generates and stores locally on your Mac
• License status, for Personal and Team license holders
• License key, activation details, and the email address provided at purchase, used to validate an active license
• Minimal anonymous telemetry (such as whether the app was opened, or which editing feature was used), off by default, changeable any time in Settings

RECLIO never sends recording content, filenames, window titles, or anything that identifies your hardware. With analytics off, RECLIO sends nothing to LITCORE beyond license validation.

When RECLIO communicates with our servers or service providers, for license validation or optional analytics, your IP address may be transmitted as part of a normal internet request. LITCORE does not explicitly store or use IP addresses to identify users.

RECLIO's one-time Personal and Team licenses are processed by Polar, which acts as Merchant of Record: Polar is the legal seller of RECLIO licenses, handles payment processing, issues receipts and invoices, and manages applicable taxes.

LITCORE never collects, sees, or stores your card number or full payment details; that lives exclusively with Polar, under its own privacy policy. LITCORE keeps only what's needed to validate a license: the license key, activation/device count, and status.

• Polar: processes license payments and validates activations
• Aptabase: receives optional, anonymous usage analytics, only when you turn analytics on (off by default)

Each processes information only as needed to provide its service to LITCORE.

• Process and manage licenses and one-time purchases
• Improve reliability and performance, using anonymous, aggregated usage patterns
• Protect the security and integrity of our services

LITCORE does not sell personal information. We share limited information with service providers only when necessary to process payments, validate licenses, or comply with legal obligations.

• Leave analytics off, or turn them on or off, any time in Settings.
• Email support@litcorelabs.com to ask what data we hold against your license, or to request its deletion, where applicable.

• RECLIO recordings and edits stay on your Mac; never uploaded to or stored by LITCORE.
• License and purchase information is retained as long as needed to provide your plan, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and keep business records.
• Local project files remain on your Mac, under your control; deleting them works exactly like deleting any other file.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through RECLIO. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy as RECLIO evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
